Drummnd injury set-back
Saturday 29 March 2008
Josh Drummond is set to miss the next four weeks of the AFL season after suffering a quad strain in the Brisbane Lions round 2 Gabba win over Collingwood last night.
Drummond, in excellent early season form, failed to return after halftime and looked a disconsolate figure as he sat with ice on his leg.
The only good news is that it is the right leg - his non-kicking leg.
Shortly before halftime Drummond had kicked a magnificent 70m running goal.
And despite missing the second half of the win over the Pies and despite playing in the back half the deadly left-hooter is the equal No.4 goal-kicker after two rounds, with only key forwards Jonathan Brown Daniel Bradshaw and ruckman Jamie Charman having kicked more goals.
