With sheer determination and a fierce competitive streak, Hayley is the only athlete to ever win three Coolangatta Gold Championships and has won 18 Australian gold medals, the highest of any female competitor in Australia.
Over the past 10 years Hayley has consistently placed in the top three in the Coolangatta Gold, Australian Ironwoman Championships and the Australian Board Championships and is said to be unrivalled in big surf conditions.



Not only is Hayley an elite athlete, she is also an accomplished public speaker and media performer. She has been featured in a number of media forums including radio, television and print and in 2008 was a television regular appearing as "Nitro" on Channel 7's Gladiators.
Competing both nationally and internationally, Hayley Bateup is a well known name across all surf sports.
