Background

Belinda Goss commenced cycling at 13 and by 2001 was a member of the Australian Team for the World Junior Track Championships.

In her first year as an Australian representative she was named the U19 Tasmanian Rider of the Year and the 2001/02 Tasmanian Cycling Female Rider of the Track Season.

By 2002 she had jumped up the national rankings in road cycling and was awarded the Australian Female Junior Road Cyclist of the Year. 

Belinda, who holds a Tasmanian and Australian Institute of Sport Scholarship, was a bronze medallist at both the 2008 and 2009 UCI Track World Championships in the 10km Scratch Race. Belinda was ranked 3rd in the Points Race and 4th in Scratch in the UCI Rankings for the 2008/09 season.

Belinda is currently studying a Bachelor of Business/Marketing and is the Australian Institute of Sport's ambassador for their Athlete Careers and Education (ACE) program. 

Her ultimate goal is to be a member of the Australian Olympic Team in London in 2012.
